Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
1.Do parents need to be technology experts?
No. Our programs are designed so students can learn independently, while parents are supported with clear guidance and plain-language explanations. You don’t need a technical background to help your student succeed here.
2.What age range is Cornerstone TechAcademy for?
Our content is designed primarily for middle and high school students. Learning paths are structured to grow with students based on maturity, interest, and readiness rather than strict age requirements.
3.Is this live or self-paced?
Both. Students can learn through on-demand courses at their own pace, and families can also participate in live classes, workshops, or one-on-one support when available.
4.How much time does this take each week?
Most courses are designed to fit comfortably into a homeschool schedule, typically 1–3 hours per week depending on the track, pace, and use of hands-on labs.
5. How does this connect to future careers or college?
Our learning paths are designed around real-world skills used in modern technology roles. While not job training, students gain foundational knowledge and experience that can support future education, careers, and certifications.
6.What technical equipment do
students need?
Students need a reliable computer and internet connection. Most learning is browser-based and works on both Windows and Mac computers. No specialized or high-end equipment is required to get started.
